Yeah, it's firewire so you'd get decent read/write speeds. That capacity gauge just looks sweet!

Just saw on DealMac that Circuit City has the 250GB USB2 version of this for $99 after rebate. That's a pretty decent deal. I don't think it has the capacity gauge though.

i'm thinking of getting an external hard drive also, but i'm leaning towards a NAS (network accessable storage) so i can plug it into my network and be able to access it from my clunky windoze desktop (which i still use to download because of the inferior speed of the wireless g compared to plug in ethernet).

Quite cool!!! Once I get my BlacBook, it will look great near my Black Dell widescreen flatpanel and Ben Q keyboard!
