I have a Mini Cooper on order but can still change the order if I wish. I only have about a week left until it goes into production. It'll be to late to change the order after that.

I originally chose dark silver/black which I like a lot but I also love red/black. I chose dark silver/black because it doesn't stand out as much. I am no saint when I drive; not crazy but I don't sit behind the slow guys either.

What's the colors you guys like. I am really thinking of leaving the order as dark silver/black but really like the red/black. I also chose a black top because I think it would look better with tinted windows.

Oh yea, I forgot the pics.

Voted Silver/Black. Personally I'd go with British Racing Green, but that's me.

With Albuquerque my "home" city (folks still live there), I know how the drivers are, so I'd go for the red for better visibility. It also looks cherry. Either way, a great car to have.

That is so true. My friend just moved back here from CA and that's all I hear about is the bad drivers here.

Are you getting a Cooper or a Cooper S? My Cooper S is (as you can see in my sig) Chilli Red and White. It looks great!

Up until recently, the dark grey and the iridescent blue were Cooper S only colours. I found that most Cooper S' were these two colours so find my Chilli Red one is a little more unique. Plus it is the quintessential Mini colours in my opinion!

Red and Black is pretty cool. I prefer the white roof myself but...

What colour mirrors are you going to get? Do you like chrome? If you want to be a little different with the Cooper S, get the chrome pack which gives you a chrome grill, chrome mirrors and a chrome tailgate handle. I imagine they still do it, haven't looked at the latest options.

Silver looks fancier, but red looks more fun to drive. Which one fits your personality/life style more? If I had to pick, I'd chose red (if lime green or blue aren't available) cuz a silver car is so common.

Hey, Dude.

My mate got a 2004 Cooper, and got a creamy white with a black roof.

Looks absolutly amazing.

If its between the silver and the red, They both rock. But i would go the red, as too many people have the silver.

Also, if you have a mini.. you want to stand out

Have a good one.

Well not having any idea what the "common" colors for cars and and letting it make the decision, I chose the silver/black. Looks much better IMO.

If you want it to stand out, how about a yellow one?

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Don't get a Mini Cooper. Small, Fugly. It looks like a depressed Twingo. On steroids.

Silver/Black. Who cares if it's the more common colour?
Personally I would go for the Astro Black Metallic, Solid Black or Pepper White, with the roof the same colour as the body. I'm not a big fan of 'colours' on cars.

The UK site (http://www.mini.co.uk/) offers a 'transparent' paint but I think that would be a little dangerous on the road.

You lucky bastard!

You should go for the red/black version, since the red colour is a more classic Mini colour.

I've been the proud owner of a blue metallic 1979 Mini 850 - just try to imagine 6'4" getting in and out of one these...

I'm with the majority on this one, the Dark Silver/Black. It just looks really stylish.

I'm getting the S. I'm not going to get the John Works package. I can do that stuff myself, save a little cash and most important is have a lot of fun while doing it. Oh yea, I'll get the mirrors the same color of the roof. I'm not a big fan of chrome.

I did seriously consider the Pepper White/Black. I'm really attracted to something about that color combo. The hard part is I don't think you can pick a bad color combination for a Mini. They all look good.

Thanks for the pics vanwyklr. It helps to see other pictures.

Something I didn't mention is my girlfriend picked up the Purple Haze/White S about a month ago. She trades me cars every week, so on Wednesday I get the Mini for a week again.

I've got grey and white - which (I think) is quite nice:

I also like the electric blue colour - http://www.mini2.com/gallery/MINI%20...S/EPSN0030.jpg

Welcome to the club.

I have British Racing Green; but I voted "Silver/Black". I love my Mini. This might be a bit insane; but I get as much joy out of driving my Mini as I do with using my Mac.

Minis and Macs rule!

I see a lot of silver cars on the road here, so I'd say that it's a fairly common colour of choice. Or, if you don't like the word "common", then replace it with "popular"

BTW, is that the exact car you're getting with the black stripes on the hood? It looks like it's wearing suspenders

Yea it is but I'm not getting the sun roof. I decided to get the solid top so I can have my friend with the vinyl cutter cut me out a big ass Apple logo and put it on the roof. Is that a little weird?

insha was right, I have so much fun driving the girlfriends Mini.

My Mini, a Mk III body with 1000cc, 1974 was Damask Red. Kinda Burgundy.

Like this one: but no white top. 2 fuel tanks and a nicer front grille.

Man. I miss that little bugger.

Mine is red/white with white wheels. Stripes on hood. I was on the pre-order list before they came to the States.

If I were doing it again today, I would go either red or orange. Would stay with the white parts and wheels. I never get tired of seeing my Mini every day.

Good luck. You will love it no matter which way you go.

Just my two cents

British green racing....I heritage a 1977 Mini Cooper (made in Pamplona, Spain) in that color. The most appropriate color for british sport cars... (i know the new one is German but who cares)
-original iMac, TiPB 400, Cube, Macbook (black), iMac 24ยจ, plus the original iPod and a black nano 4GB-
