A load of CDs I bought at HMV.
After Eights. Edible presents are always good.
A tub of toffees, again edible presents are good.
A weather/temperature/clock thing. Even if the temperature/weather feature is mostly useless, it looks really nice.
Some deodorant. Apparently I smell.
A couple of jumpers, nice ones. Not hand knitted, reindeer, put in the back of the cupboard for the next 20 years jumpers.
A thermos flask. I wanted one because the coffee at college is horrible.
A Haynes manual so I can fix my car.
Nothing spectacular, but all good .
If I remember anything else, I'll come back and update this.
I await the 'I got a MacBook/MacBookPro/some nice piece of Apple hardware' so I can sit and glare at them with envy, haha.
Have a good Christmas.

For a University. I have to get some wiring redone over the next few days and some system patches. This is the best time to do it. Only for a few more hours though.

-Hydraulic floor jack, jack stands, and wheel blocks
-149 piece mechanic's tool set
-Floor mats (see a pattern here)
-20pc Cutlery set and bamboo cutting board
-Buncha clothes
-My mom had the brilliant idea of doing an Easter egg hunt with random items, each color coded, so I had to find the blue items...I got windshield wiper fluid, toothpaste, dishsoap, laundry detergent, etc. It was a fun way to get some useful but otherwise boring items.

"Cities" is arguably possessive of "book". Therefore, the title should read, "The Cities' Book." "City" is used as an adjective. "Cities Book" with "Cities" as an adjective modifying "book" is, at the very least, a pretty hapless title.

It's a book of cities, not a book belonging to a particular set of cities, right? It's not an adjective, but a noun modifier, similar to The Tonight Show.
Anyway, I got:
• DVD sets of Buffy (never bothered to buy the last two seasons myself), Heroes, Doctor Who and the last season of Veronica Mars
• Assassin's Creed
• New Super Mario Bros.
• A gift package with a huge bar of dark chocolate and some pomegranate tea (I love both dark chocolate and pomegranate tea, so this was actually very thoughtful)
• Some random CD somebody wanted me to listen to but I haven't gotten around to yet

Maybe you could send me a few. My dad always steals my socks and I end up having about three pairs instead of my normal 20. I actually asked for some socks this year, but so far I haven't got any (I am having Christmas in Seattle later this week though, maybe I'll luck out).

4 pairs of shoes (some Marten stompers for the nasty Halifax winters, brown dress shoes, black Madden casual shoes, blue Town Shoes for the upcoming summer...I needed footwear)
Some dress shirts, sweaters
Leopard (finally...the Dock on my customary right side doesn't look too bad against my black desktop, and I'm adjusting surprisingly well to the popup folders instead of the popup menus...perhaps because they're faster than the menus and I try to keep folder items to a small number?)
A bitchin Calvin Klein winter jacket we scored on a good Christmas Eve sale
Handy Perfect Push-Up® rotating push-up thingies (I used to be a Push-Up King™ before student bad-habit sloth overtook me...now I have an excuse to get in gear again)
An electric toothbrush (no cavities in 26 years of standard non-powered brushing and rare dentist visits, so I'm a reluctant and slightly dubious Switcher)
Some fancy-restaurant evenings on the town from my lady
...and the random assortment of toiletries, undergarments, and chocolate that seems to inevitably come with Christmas.
All in all, I feel well-prepared for the upcoming semester....

A new DC/sound board for my Pismo
A nice pair of binoculars
A thermos with a tea strainer built in, which is awesome
And... this, which is absolutely gigantic, and awesome.
Plus on New Year's day when my girlfriend is back from vacation I happen to know I will be getting a blue iPod Nano (previous generation, which I like much better than the current one ), and that her mom got us both an espresso machine.
This probably the best Christmas I've had in my life, although I think my girlfriend did even better than me. She got a new MBP plus a decent array of other presents including something like half a kilogram of tea, about 100 dollars worth of knitting supplies, and whatever else I can't remember anymore. Both of us are kind of used to getting mediocre presents, so we're both rather giddy .

I got a few grand poorer.
But did receive some lovely insulated gloves, sweaters, scarves... odd though, considering I live in a tropical jungle that never dips below 75...
Also, received some dvds of movies I never heard of, a few books I've already read, a Chia Herb Garden, and leather pocket change holder for the desk, 2 kilos of low-grade heroin, and a nice couple of days with the family - my family not that family.

A self burned CD Collection compiled by my father, holding the very best pieces from soundtracks via cabaret via opera to anything classical one can imagine. He's got some 8000+ CDs and has EVERYTHING in those Genres. He said it was 50+ hrs of work. Wow.
