Yeah, it's still plenty active. I did a bunch on my old iMac. I have done 252 on my dualie 800 so far. Whenever I'm not doin' stuff, I just let it run SETI. I'd love to see how the G5s do with SETI. Anyone know? How about some P4/G5 SETI comparisons?

I'm running it 24/7, but only the CLI version. Much faster processing of data than the screen-saver version in OS X.

I did a few WUs for SETI on my Intel box. I refuse to put it on my Macs 'coz they won't let us use the Altivec enhanced version (because we'd be way too fast and all the Windroids would get upset).
They're still going strong. But I wouldn't bother if I were you.
Take a look at http://www.aspenleaf.com/distributed/ for other projects.

Exactly. Check out the differences between AltiVec and non-AltiVec clients at distributed.net.
Not only because of that, but they're not too interested in getting workunits finished quickly. (SETI actually doesn't have enough workunits as it is. People are doing duplicates--and not just to "recheck" them either.) The SETI organization has a lot of corporate sponsorship for something that's at the least ridiculous and at the most an intentional fraud for that sponsorship $$$. Many agree.

As far as I can remember it's just like any other cli app:
Terminal over to wherever you put it (~/Applications/Folding/) then type ./whateveritscalled

1. Make a folder in your home (or anywhere else) called fah, or something like that.
2. Download http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandeg...onsole-OSX.tgz to that folder.
3. Expand it with Stuffit Expander.
4. open terminal and type "cd ~/fah" to get to the folder you created in your home directory.
3. type "chmod +x OSX-3.25" to make the application executable (for some reason, it isn't always executable, although chances are, that it is)
4. type "./OSX-3.25" to run it.
5. Enter an e-mail address or account name to identify yourself (no need to sign up, anywhere)
6. Enter team # 16 to crunch for Team MacNN
7. You are good to go!
[EDIT: it's a good idea to put it in its own folder, because running the app will create some work directories and files where OSX-3.25 is located.]
