Why did they (MacNN) even bother to shut down this forum ? It's not like they were even able to update on their own "live" link. Apple had blocked all WIFI and cell phone access from that theatre.

Hopefully Apple will put the video on their site like they did last time after the Expo, I like watching those things. This is the first time where I found out about the new products by going to Apple.Com !

Stuff magazine had a live update via satellite linkup. I can only assume the macnn guys weren't aware that they wouldn't be able to update via cell?

Same here. I know the forum always crashes during these things, but usually it's working again by the time Apple has got round to posting the new stuff on their website. MacNN closed the forums for about an hour after the event finished as far as I could tell. Good work guys.

The darn hamster needed a bathroom break. They took the event as a cover-up.

Yeah, stuff magazine, then the german site macnews.de (you could auto-translate) and engadget were getting info from the London satellite event.

Next time, who knows.

The MacNN live-coverage hamster should be fired. Or grilled.

Also there was an iChat room called onemorething people were in.

However, I was about to suggest an iChat room for us to go to just before the servers went down. Oh well.

Does this look like the Feedback forum? Not to me it doesn't!

(I have no idea why the news folks didn't cover it on their "live" page. We have nothing to do with the news side. The forums had to go down, because otherwise, as with every Apple keynote ever, they'd get bogged down and become unresponsive and give DB errors.)
