Is anyone having trouble with the internet radio function on iTunes? I cannot get it to initiate any streams. I do not believe I have changed any settings. Any ideas?

i don't know how relevant this article is since it was written in april of this year, but the gist of it is that the company that provides the catalogue of music streams for itunes was in the process of shutting down.

I am having the same trouble. The Radio Tuner in iTunes list all the usual streams, but won't make a connection. I went to the Live365.com web page which is the service that iTunes was using for the catalog. If you click on listen on the Live365.com web page it opens the stream in iTunes no problem. But, if you try to open the stream from iTunes it doesn't work. It's been like this for about a week.
Anyone know what is going on?

I use live365 all the time. It's amazing.
There are 4 or 5 presets on my iTunes Library that live365 put there.
I can launch them just fine from iTunes.
But I've noticed that sometimes the people providing the streams shut down without giving notice, and then you won't be able to open a new stream. Or they may change their IP address, so you would need to go back to live365 and get the stream preset again, so you are up to date.

Hope this helps.

I'll probably start using Live365 directly. It was convenient to just open iTunes and use there catalog though. I will just build my own catalog with Live365 presets.

So....I'm not the only one with this problem!.......Well...sorta. I just reloaded the OS and I can't even get a list to load. Can you guys see if you're also having trouble with this:

Open Quicktime
Click on TV
Click on Music Video Network
It will start to feed...then just sit there while it's trying to get data.

Since installing v.2 none of my radio favorites will load. I get a dialog box that forever says "connecting..." while the barber pole spins. After a loong time it thinks it is playing the station while the elapsed time remains at zero. Totally messed up!

iTunes 2 is loaded with problems on my machine.
Will have to reinstall v.1

Using OS 9.1, PowerMac 9600/350/G4/cable modem...
iMac 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo 6GB, OS 10.6.8
Macbook Pro 2.2GHz Core i7 8GB. OS 10.6.8
iPhone 3GS 32GB, OS 5 / TiBook / Newton (2)
