Apple has the 22" refurb for $1349, only $50 more than a new 20". Does the newer 20" have a better display/technology? Do Apple refurbs have a limit on dead pixels and are the refurbs cosmetically like new? I may splurge $50 for the extra 2". Thanks for any input.

While you do get 2" more viewing space... the new 20" model has a better contrast ratio, higher brightness, and actually lets you put more on the screen than the 22" (1680x1050 for the 20" compared to 1600x1024 for the 22").
Plus the new 20" has the new cool silver Apple.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Cheese,
I was wondering if the newer model had some better technology built-in. I haven't had a chance to see them side by side but I have taken a few good looks at the 20". It's a beauty and I think that's what I'm going with.

Yeah, more pixels in a smaller space means a sharp sharp image. And when that image is 20 vs 22 inches, its so big those 2 inches dont matter
Get my drift? (its said a bit weirdly)

Images on the 20" is much much sharper thaan the 22"
Also the pixel are finer on the 20"
On the 22" I always see the pixels (they are big) before the images....which is a real drag

*shrug* I wouldn't trade my 22" for a 20" for one reason:

Of course there's no reason to go from 22 to 20. 23 is the only way to go for those who owns he 22.

well, I may just be saying this because I have one, but I would still go with the 22 just for DVD watching. If you don't do much of that then of course the 20 is much better
