I went to open mail.app today, and it automatically went into a setup screen. It's claiming I don't have any accounts configured (when I did have several), and I can't find any way to get to my email. Anyone know how to fix this?

probably a result of disk corruption killing off your preferences.

I'd run a good disk utility - and then do a forum search, this question has been asked many times.

I ran Diskwarrior and fixed the corruption problems, but I'm getting the same message from mail.app. How do I go about recovering all my old mail data (it's still in the Library, and backed up on my iPod...)?

I'm not sure exactly, as I haven't had this problem myself, but couple thoughts:

(1) re-create your accounts - this alone may be enough and your old messages may show up just with this step.

(2) do a forum search and read what others have written about solving this sort of problem. (I tried doing this for you, but I don't really have the time to filter all the results that came back, sorry)

good luck!
