I don't really want to go through www.pbparts.com.

Has another vendor started selling key caps? Do any of you have a dead keyboard with a space bar I could have? I have a PayPal account and know how to use it.

Thanks!

Go to Apple Store near you and ask a genius to give you a keycap if available. If you are lucky to meet a very kind genius you can get a keycap w/o any charge.

one of the key on my old ibook broke off and my local apple reseller gave me a replacement key free. i think that is your best bet. if not that, if you have an old laptop, some models key's might fit.(if you don't mind h unmatching theme)

My space bar key has developed a squeak. I'd like to take it off and inspect/clean it.

Can anyone tell me how to do it? Which side of the space bar should I lift from?

This is on a 15" Aluminum Powerbook.
