Apple would be a whole lot more pleasing, rational and compassionate with its users if it were run by Woz. But, unfortunately, those of us who are the most compassionate and able to be good leaders are the ones who most often do not seek positions of power. So then, the most egotistical, unethical or power hungry people gain power, doing us all wrong.
I'm not saying that Jobs is all these. But certainly his ego and need to control everything, and the unfortunate decisions he makes because of these is evident, particularly in recent times.
Woz is a great guy. He has a great sense of humor and is down to earth-- he doesn't let his fame or wealth get to his head. I've actually corresponded with him via e-Mail. It's amazing to me how he personally takes the time to answer e-Mails and letters from anybody.

I think he burned through a small fortune financing music festivals. But I'm pretty sure he's far from broke.
Also, I think I read somewhere that he's still employed by Apple, having never officially left. I wonder if there is a biography on the man.

I think you're right.. If I remember right, He's still technically employed as a technical consultant at Apple, though I could be mistaken.
