I am using a pampered 4th generation 40GB iPod using the latest firmware.

When listening to a playlist during one particular song there is a noise that is difficult to describe... it is like electrical interference or a scratch, or a combination sound. The track keeps playing, then another sound happens and the song quits and the next song on the playlist begins. This happened twice today but hasn't happened in the past with this particular playlist/track.

When I play the track on my iMac there is no problem.

I did a search of this forum but I came up empty-handed. Any ideas about what might be happening and what I can do about it?

Update: I ran Disk Utility and it found one error that it fixed. The track plays fine now.
