I recently did a complete reformat of my Hard Drive on my iMac DVSE. I partitioned the drive into 2 portions and reinstalled OS 9, everything went well. I also backed up all important files on CD-R.

I had success replacing most these back-ups. I re-installed IE 5.0 and I want to use my back up to get back all my bookmarks I had. Is there a specific file to replace from my back-up into the IE 5.0 folder?

I did a similar operation with Outlook Express 5.0. In this case, I did find the specific file I needed with all my settings, address book, and E-mails; dropped it into OE 5.0 and everything works cherry.

Also, I have Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (which I backed up and also have my origional disks). Can I just replace my back ups or do I have to re-install? I suppose if I replace my back ups the drivers will not be installed?

Thanks

As far as getting back your bookmarks:
In your Preferences folder there's another folder called Explorer. Inside that folder is where you'll find your Favorites, History and other things. If you have the Explorer folder backed up then just go into back up, grab the file labeled "favorites.htm" and drop it into your new Explorer folder in your Preferences folder. Then, open up IE 5 and you should see your favorites under the Favorites menu.
Hope that helps.
