Except has anyone considered what happens when you crash?

To give you an idea, we placed a 2 L pop bottle in a bucket filled with about 8 L of water. We filled the bottle with air up to about 200-400 PSI. The bottle exploded, the bucket (a strong bucket mind you), was reduced to shrapnel. The debris and water covered a 10 m radius.

Now, they are talking about 4300 PSI. Um, can you say explosion? (it just takes a puncture)

Who knew that compressed air would take a vehicle 100km (60miles)? Probably a contender to batteries.
If they are going to use their own uranium power (for the air pumps) instead of outside fuel, then more power to them

Imagine if it used brake regeneration.

Compressed air is a VERY expensive resource. You'd be surprised. At most factories it is more expensive to have a compressed air line than it is to heat the building. An uninsulated building with half it's windows open.

Compressed air, especially at that rate of PSI is expensive.

Apples, oranges... I don't understand your argument.

Did you see that the pump charged $3 for a 100km ride, while it would cost $12 in fossil fuel?

Wow, two posts from one quote. New record.

Did you notice how the speaker was vague when mentioning what it would cost? And, where exactly does it cost $12 for a teeny tiny car to drive 62 miles?!?! (I guess some people just take faulty information at face value and believe everything someone tells them.) It would cost about $4.50 in my car. And it is a compact, but I assure you it weighs substantially more than the car in the video.

And if I had to refill every 62 miles it would certainly be a deal breaker.

Do you have any idea what it costs to compress air and keep a compression system in working order? I do. It is expensive.

I made two quotes because I was feeling lazy.

Yes. I noticed that they were powering a tiny car, takes little power to make it go.

There must be a town in Europe where motor fuel is $6/gallon? Use a 31mpg car, and you get $12 per every 62 miles.

The only experience I have with compressed air is using my small electric air pump that I bought in Walmart for $10. It goes up to 80psi. So I have next to no experience. I would trust you I you were positive that the 100km, $3 ride is a fantastic subsidy of the French Gvmt. I mean, you make it sound like pneumatic power is astronomically expensive.

I still don't understand the link between a building heat and its compressed air systems Why having one means not having the other?
