Just wondering what EQ setting do you find the best for the new iMacs?

I find the default 'flat' setting too hollow sounding/tinny. I know they arn't the best speakers in the world, but there must be a way to get better sound from them?

Oh and is there any way to make OS X's max volume higher?

Entirely down to personal preference. Settings one person might like, another will hate.
Experiment until you find something you like.. But those iMac speakers are never going to sound great anyway.
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

I think that the iMac's speakers sound pretty good, at least the ones in my G5. Rock seems to suit these speaker well, but like Grrr said, it is up to preference.

I dunno. I can't stand the imacs speakers. I ended up buying some soundsticks, which I think sound very good.

Well of course they aren't as good as Soundsticks- those are the best ever. But I think they sound the best of any Mac's speakers, save the HK ones that came with the G4s.

I use the "acoustic" setting on all of my computers. I personally think that that setting is the best, and it sounds really terrific.
