BTW, this belongs in the Political lounge.
Some of my all time favorite quotes on the issue comes from
Golda Meir:
"Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."
“When peace comes, we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons. But it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons.”
“There is nothing Israel wants so much as peace. There is nothing Israel needs so much as peace. With all the bleakness of the desert, the desert of hate around us is even more bleak.”
For the sake of all the peace-loving people out there, I don't think this is a question of
who is right and who is wrong, it is question of abandoning the past and charting a new peaceful future where Israeli's can be allowed to co-exist with the Arabs. This unfortunately will not be possible if you have organizations like Hizbollah and Hamas whose mandate is to wage war against the state of Israel.
