Hi,

I was wondering how I can make a movie of my mouse arrow moving around my desktop clicking on things. Can Quicktime do this or do I need some other software?

Sounds like a job for Flash or Generator.

(which in turn sounds like a line out of a B-movie)

Snapz Pro should be able to record your screen actions to a quicktime movie. If you've purchased your Mac recently, it's one of the free apps. Otherwise, you can find it here:
