Search here or just go back a page or two. There was a long thread just a month ago.

I have a Marware Sportfolio (Slip-style) case, which is very cheap and works great for a slim way to transport my powerbook. Powerbook Source reviewed it here.

You should at least consider it.

Suprz: I bought a notebook "sleeve" to carry my powerbook laptop in my jansport backpack. It's at this site http://www.booqbags.com/notebooq.html
check them out. If you already have a backpack get the sleeve. It's a little more expensive than others, but the craftsmanship and material is great. It's made out of ballistic nylon (the kind they use in high quality luggage). If you're looking for a computer backpack check out
the "eCrew Laptop Backpack (EB2037-18)" at ebags.com or click here
http://www.ebags.com/products/index....p%20Packs_9691
It's good quality & sells for $50. Don't buy the backpack at booqbags.com it's too overpriced at $110. Anyways, I did alot of research before getting my carrying case/bag. Hope that helps.

I've got two bags for my Ti depending on how much I need to carry or what mood I'm in:

Medium Cargo Bag from Waterfield Designs

and

Mogwai large messenger bag from Timbuktu

Both have great slipcases that protect my 'book. Custom color choices on both, too.

I got one of these at CompUSA 2 weeks ago for $9.00 (after rebate) It's now listed for $50 and I think I'd pay that much for it if i had to buy it again. The strap is made of silicone and is really easy on the shoulder when the bag is loaded up.

I use a Waterfield designs laptop sleeve for my Tibook. Great workmanship, nice protection.

the sleeve lives in my kelty daypack, and when I'm out, noone knows I'm carrying $3K of laptop with me.

I like the security of stealth.

Cheers,

J.

Waterfield Designs Large Cargo bag. Not cheap, but it is very versatile and it's the first time I've ever had a bag I could work out of as a portable office. It's suitable whether or not I'm carrying the computer, and because it is partially hard sided, for the first time my books are protected in there as well. The base and back are hardcore but padded, and the stiffener also comes up the front corners, and it uses a very heavy grade of ballistic nylon. Also, the bag stands up on its own, which I like, and a softer bag won't do that.

It is not as comfortable to carry as a softer bag (eg Waterfield Medium Cargo, Timbuk2 etc) but still OK even when heavily loaded, and I know the computer is secure in its sleeve inside the bag. The capacity on the Large Cargo is similar to a backpack, and for a shoulder/messenger bag that is an awful lot; small people should probably not consider it. I can fit the Powerbook, two large hardcover books or a portfolio file, two thin softcover books, and miscellaneous disks, papers and accessories.

try Crumpler - I have got the 'very busy man' one
[I believe http://www.crumplerusa.com ]
very good for my Ti
well made, snug across your shoulder, well thought out little features
only criticism is that the inside is not as big as the outside makes it look
but
overall an excellent bag and easily the best I have owned

$10 Ikea lightly padded bag. Doesn't look like a computer bag, but it fits the TiBook perfectly.

for me it's not really the bag but the sleeve I have...

I switch out bags every 4-6 months... they all seam to fall apart or get stained...

So the only constant thing I have is a great padded sleeve with Velcro that I move along with each bag...

ok, so I don't buy the best bags now but the first one was one of those Kensington jobs and it died after a few months too.

So my current bag is a Gap bag ($6 bucks)... my last bag was one of those sweet white Gap dual ibook bags for $10 bucks (that's where I got the sleeve)...

so next time I'm at gap or Old Navy (or just run across a cool bag) I'll pick up my next one to have as a back up
