Hey guys! There's a new game out called ThinkTanks. It's incredibly fun and is being released on the Mac first (Windows and Linux to follow). Check it out:

Just played a few rounds, and it is getting addictive.

It's fun, but the controls are kinda wonky... I set the mouse sensitivity to high, and that helped some, but you only have a 100 degree field. I'm so used to playing real FPS games with 360 degree turning and no trajectory, that it's making this game hard. I know, real tanks can't do that, but c'mon... I get destoryed over and over again by the bots because I can barely even get the end of the trajectory near them :-/ Graphics are nice, though, even on my Rage 128 16MB (which I play MOHAA with daily)

I'd give it a 4 out of 5. Graphics are great, sound is superb, it seems stable, but the controls bother me a lot.

Comments?

This game is great. It's simple, fun and addicting. The controls take some getting used to for sure. But once you get the hang of it, it's very fun. Glad to see this being introduced on the Mac first. Need more online servers though!

Getting good at shooting in ThinkTanks takes a bit of practice, but it can be done. Just don't play it like an FPS. Lead your targets, get up close to them, bump them around to throw them off. It takes a bit more patience and driving skill to be successful in this game.

As for the number of servers, I'm sure there will be more on the way. The game's only been out for less than a day.

The aiming's damn hard. The responsiveness isn't good.

But the game itself is very cool!

It would be so perfect if you didn't have the trajectory...I know it's more realistic, but (for me) it's too much to think about while dodging enemy shells and wheeling about the map.
