Recently, the subject of where the Gaming forum best fits has come up among the staff, due in no small part to the protests of forum members. The most popular alternatives to the Other zone in which it currently resides are;

1) In the Community zone, along with The Lounge, Feedback, The Marketplace... etc.
2) As a sub forum to the Lounge, just as the Political Lounge is.

The other option is to leave it where it currently is.

And with that, let the voting commence...

I think it is fine where it is. However, if is *has* to be moved, I don't think gaming should be a sub-forum of the Lounge, but its own Community forum. I don't really see it as having a connection with the Lounge like the Pol/War room does.

I think it should stay where it is. I think it has more to do with Hardware and Software than it does with Community so leaving it in other topics feels right.

Subforum of The Lounge would be much nicer. The activity in this forum alone is not enough to justify its own forum.

The forum seems to already be in it's proper place, IMO. It's sad though, that it doesn't get more attention.

I think that console gaming stuff should be IN the lounge, and computer gaming stuff should be in it's own section, right here.

I like the idea of it being a sub-forum in the Lounge, much like the Political/War Lounge. Console gaming only though, with the Computer gaming left where it is.

Evidently 48% (so far) of the members like it right here, so I'm fine if that's the ultimate decision. I can certainly appreciate the way that you mods have opened up a poll like this.

Yeah well the feeling I'm getting from the responses is people who post here less often (i.e., 1k posts or less) seem more inclined to like it right here.

The more regulars seem to like this as part of the lounge.

Edit: And I don't wonder if the "The Community zone, along with The Lounge, Feedback... etc." isn't having it's own Ralph Nader effect on the outcome.

I'd prefer we kept the computer games and console games together. Otherwise, we will end up with a cluster**** of Wii/360/PS3 threads in the Lounge again. I see no viable reason to separate them into their own two threads either. That would just require more moderation for people that post in the wrong thread.
