Hi all,

a friend of mine has a strange problem with the displays preference pane on her PowerMac G4 running 10.3.9.
When she klicks the displays preference icon the pref pane shrinks to the favourite pref panes bar at the top. No error message, no display prefs pane.
Has anybody else encountered such a problem and knows a fix?

(We already deleted the appropriate plist file and replaced the pref pane with no effect. She has the Apple standard GeForce 2MX video card installed)

Thanks a lot
Dirk

Try deleting

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache

Hi analogika,

deleting com.apple.preferencepanes.cache does not solve the problem. Any other ideas?

Thank you anyway
Dirk
