Mac OS X: About This Mac "Build" Information</A>
It's been updated to show that the new Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver) comes with a new build of Mac OS X, build 4R14. It's listed as part of Mac OS X 10.0.4, so it's not quite the spanking new build being demoed at MWNY. It'd be interesting to find out what the differences are.

I asked Apple about this, because I noticed that the About This Mac window didn't show the 10.0.4 that *I* knew, but the guy was like "IT'S PRIVATE BUILD INFORMATION! NO SOUP FOR YOU!" and wouldn't tell me a damn thing.
Basically, nothing at all has changed. I'm sure that the build is basically to add some additional hardware compatability necessary for running OS X properly on the new QuickSilver machines.

Well the "Apple Genius" at the Glendale store basically told me the same thing that gorgonzola was told, but about 9.2 and the revised 10.0.4, and was quite upset as I think as a new owner of an 867 G4 I deserve to know.
