We got our first big snow that stuck last week, and we have another nice blizzard tonight. My roommate were over at a friend's place and between us getting there and leaving, we got at least four inches of freezing rain/snow. We drove separately, which meant a race to get home first, which I obviously won. Snow tires are fantastic.

As long as it's cleared up by this weekend, I'm fine with it. Bring on the snow.

We had snow on the Santa Cruz and San Jose hills. Doesn't happen too often.

We had snow since mid November. It was never more than a couple of inches.

If only snow fell four inches at a time life here would be grand. Unfortunately we measure snow fall in feet, not inches. Snow falls of at least 72 inches in a 24 hour period are not uncommon.

It's not very deep out here in the Hoosier state, but my town is currently being coated in ice as I write this.

There's an ice storm warning in effect until 9am...maybe I'll get lucky and it'll shut down the city buses.

A big storm is on its way to Boston as I'm typing this. between 7 inches to a foot of snow predicted; and then another one after that a day or two later (sunday or monday).

We've had 3 or four snow showers of several inches already this year, about 40 miles north of Detroit. Last night/today we're getting hammered, with 8 - 10" already down and it's still snowing. I have to leave for work, about a 20 mile drive, in an hour, and it's going to be fun - NOT!

There has to be at least one per year, right?

Anyway, when I went to leave this morning, neither of my roommates had left so the driveway had eight inches or so plus the three foot drift the snowplow was kind enough to leave at the end. The Contour didn't care.

There's 2-3 inches expected in nyc. I wish it were a lot more - like 2-3 feet I remember as a kid.
But I look forward to a nice weekend of sloshing through yellow/grey muck whilst I finish my Christmas shopping/seeing the large decorated dying tree at the Rock.

Wasn't wasted here. We've got a foot, and it's still snowing! I've shoveled the drive twice, and I'll have to shovel again when it tapers off. I tried to get out, to go to work, and I got stuck just going into the street. A neighbor and his son pushed me back into the drive, and I called in.

We just ordered a ton of Chinese food and canceled the planned Christmas lunch at a restaurant.
The snow actually stopped, no accumulation, just cold dampness. I am disappointed.

Just took a walk down to Starbucks to meet my female acquaintance and it is certainly coming down out there. Was bad on the way down, but now it has switched over to the big fluffy "lake effect" snow that buries us year after year.

I had snapped another pic of the Christmas tree on my way home to show how much had fallen in two hours, but I must not have hit save on my phone as I can't find it on the memory card.

No snow in the bay area, but it's been really, really cold lately. Well, cold for us (30s/40s).

I got the driveway cleared off after getting back from work, the drift at the end was about as high as my knees, and was a blast to drive through. My front and rear bumpers are caked with snow. Besides the snow, it's actually pretty nice out. I was comfortable snowblowing in just a light jacket, and I did some work on my car in the open garage.

Shovel? Pfft! I let my tires shovel for themselves.

It's only been snowing for about 3 hrs so far, I'd estimate we've got about 3-4 inches on the ground already.

I ran out of anyplace else to put it. That's my daughter's second car, and it needs tires, so it's not being used right now.
