Went to unplug my iBook G4 and got a nasty static electricity shock on the plug. The amber light went out, didn't think much of it at the time, just unplugged it and off I went. Now, when plugging it back in, the light still doesn't come on. The computer recognizes that it's plugged into the wall, and doesn't lose charge while plugged in, but won't charge up at all. The battery still works as I can unplug it, but it just won't charge.

I tried to reset the PMU by pushing Shift-Ctrl-Opt-Power, but that didn't change anything. So this kinda sucks. I'll be in Chicago tomorrow so I'll take it to the downtown Apple store and hopefully they will replace it.

Hopefully it's just the AC adapter and not something in the computer. I can't afford to send the computer in this week and not being able to use it without being plugged into the wall will be very inconvenient as I'm traveling this week.

Just sharing my nightmare.
