Anyone else having this problem?
Yeah, I had this problem with v. 1.x, the first time I downloaded and tried to use it. But the beta has been working for me.

The Bejeweled game from Popcap software won't seem to work in full-screen mode in Panther. This is after a clean install of Panther and Bejeweled.

It works just fine in windowed mode. I'm checking other Popcap games to see if it's a problem with those as well, but other full-screen games work fine.

Toast 5(.1.2) didn't work for me either, until i downloaded the 5.2.1 upgrade from roxio.com. Now it works fine.

So far I had to reinstall Via Voice, Kensington mouse drivers, and Wacom drivers. I also had to reinstall Epson Twain to get my scanner back.

I do not get the cool rotating cube when switching users. iTunes pauses when I change. Also the modem connection dies when I change, but that could be a good thing.

I will start exploring games soon to see how they work.

Bulk Downloader doesn't work (the one downloaded off of versiontracker). For some bizarre reason panther thinks it is a classic application.

I believe the first upgrade was called Service Release 1, which preceded 10.1.2.

The "EPSON Storage Card Driver v1.1.1" for Epson printers with built in Card readers (785EPX/825/925) no longer works.

The installer won't allow you to install , and if you install manually you get an error on startup - so It's definitely not compatible.

Bluefish and Xephem do not work with X11/fink. Bluefish installs fine, but will not launch.
Xephem will not build.

Open Office stopped working.

the start OO would launch, but the apps would not launch.

I didn't use it enough to justify having it anyway. AppleWorks is fine for now.

httpmail was finally updated the other day for Panther compatibility and seems to work fine. There's another bundle for reporting to SpamCop that was updated even quicker.

Marine Aquarium 2.06 fixes the bubble problem. Amplitube 1.0 doesn't work. Broke under QT6.4, - Java incompatibilities. Reverting to QT 6.3 fixed it. You can't revert to 6.3 under Panther. Adaptec 2906 SCSI card doesn't work. So my external jaz and Astra 600s scanner don't work (I was using VueScan, and don't know if it will work with Panther.

Try Twain. I had to re install Epson Twain to get my scanner to work.

also X11SDK and BSDSDK are needed for some Fink apps.

Bluefish still broken, Xephem works now.

I can't seem to get Sorenson 3.1 Pro to work anymore. Tried reinstalling, took out all other 3rd party codecs, repaired permissions, etc.

Anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance.

APE 1.4.1 and MenuMeters1.1 work just fine for me as do the new beta's of Fruitmenu and Xounds. Did you go back into the preferencepane and click on the display check box for MenuMeters? Mine was unchecked after the upgrade. As for APE 1.4.1 you might want to try some of the haxies available from Unsanity's weblog. Many are in beta but some are not. Unsanity's weblog

Apple's X11 has been updated and relocated.
I use Coool to launch OOo, and it runs just fine in Panther.

We have many many problems with notes. From Notes not being able to be run after a install, to Notes running only in classic or not at all.

Lotus Notes users should not upgrade to 10.3 at this time!

You were right about APE 1.4.1 it is working now. Still cannot get Menu Meters running. WindowShade X has now been updated to 3.1 and works with Panther. Download:

Still cannot get Menu Meters running.
MenuMeters 1.1.1 is up, and is Panther compatible.

This should fix it for you...

for the record, MATLAB has been updated to work with Panther, and Apple's X11. among the niceties is that it now knows it can install/run with X11 (despite its claims of incompatibility, it did actually work perfectly fine with X11 beta in Jag. even installation).
1 caveat: if you had it configured to run with X11 under Jag, you need to update your launch script for the new location of X11. it moved from /Applications/ to /Applications/Utilities/. It took me a long time to realize why it only worked when X11 was already running.

the first time I launched BitTorrent 3.3, it crashed the moment it started writing to disk. And in the process BitTorrent 3.2.2 became the default app for .torrent files on my machine (curious). Since installing XCode, BT 3.3 seems to be working fine now.
