iLife 04 should be included if you buy a new Mac. If you only buy 10.3 you will get iTunes, iPhoto, and iMovie. You won't get GarageBand or iDVD.

iLife 04 won't be bundled with the OS until Tiger--10.4--is released.

iLife (ANY version) will probably never be included, as it never has been in the past.

NO retail copy of Mac OS has EVER included iDVD, one of the core components of iLife, and my hunch is that the same will be true for GarageBand. (Note that iDVD and GarageBand are by FAR the biggest iLife apps, each being well over a gigabyte each due to the themes and loops, respectively. The other iApps are pretty small.)

iDVD and Garageband might be the largest but I don't think I could live without the speed improvements to iPhoto. I got iLife just for that its so much better. To answer the original poster if you use iPhoto get iLife if you want to use the other apps occasionaly its probably still worth buying since its not that expensive.
