From Dell's website:

It seems to imply that the low-end configuration is expressly poor for running applications on Vista.

If there's any confusion, I think it's because those comparisons were for different computers with different ram and processor configurations. The one that could not run and programs or games is a 512MB of ram on a 800Mhz processor. Which by the way, I suspect that a lot of Windows machines may only have 512MB of Ram, although I believe a lot of them run faster than 800Mhz.

Yes, but at what point would anyone consider a computer that can't run applications or games? The very idea is laughable.

I know they wanna shoehorn Vista on everything, but come on, let's be reasonable. It's like an episode of Married With Children when a fat lady walks into Al's shoe store and wants a size 6.

I think you have to be running IE 7 on Windows. Either that, or they changed it.
