ok, so i am trying to export my song list (actually, a certain playlist, not my entire library) so i know all the songs i have and can give the list to someone else so they can look at it. When i export the list, it makes a .txt, but when i open it, it is so messy and nothing is lined up or anything. it just keeps wrapping around and around. no new lines. how do i fix this and make it clean?

Import the file into Excel as tab delimited.

I just did exactly what El Gato said, and it worked great. It takes a little bit of fiddling to select the correct format for some of the columns (dates and such), but it worked great. Now I need a solution that will give me a list of what's on my iPod NOW, because I haven't synced in a while, and I don't know if I've lost anything in dealing with my library.

You could open it in TextEdit, Word, or just about any word processor. You just have to set the tab stops to make the columns line up.

If the other person just needs to look at it you could print to PDF and give them the PDF.
