I think my "System" folder in my TiPB has become corrupted since my machine hangs on boot-up at one of two places, either at "Log-in window starting" or Looking for network Preferences" or something to that effect. I'm running from my "Old" hard drive running in an external firewire housing. I just did an internal hard drive swap and all was well until I copied some files over from the old drive.

Is there any way to repair the installation short of formatting and starting over with a fresh installation, which is very time consuming?

Thanka in advance.

Jeff

Yes.

Just install OS X again from the original CD - you don't need to reformat.
