Why can't Safari "Open Link in New Tab" at Arts & Letters Daily?

Go to the above website and select a handful of links to "Open Link in New Tab."
The majority of links you open will result in "page not found" errors. If you look at the address bar of the error pages, you'll see that Safari has either added or choked on some extra characters: "%20" or "20%20". "Open Link in New Window" generates the same error.
I've submitted this as a bug to Apple long ago, while Safari was still early in beta, but it hasn't been fixed. Omniweb also has problems with this site.
Anyone know why Safari chokes on most of the links at Arts & Letters Daily?

Hmm...no problems opening any links in tabs from that site here. (Safari 1.0, OS X 10.2.6)

You're kidding? WTF? For me, it only occurs with Omniweb and Safari, and both of them use webcore (or whatever it's called). IE, Mozilla, and Camino never generate that error.

It looks as though they don't work of you select 'Open Link in New Tab' from the contextual menu. They do, however, work if you command click the links.
Hope this helps.

Yes, that does. Now I wonder if it could be a third-party contextual menu or a haxie (e.g., IceCoffee) that's interfering. I'm going to test that out.
Okay, I'm back from testing. I disabled every contextual menu, haxie, and preference pane that I had, but right-clicking to open link in new tab still generates the error for me. Command-clicking a link, however, works properly.
So, either it's a bug with Safari/Omniweb's use of contextual menus or it's somehow unique to my system with Omniweb and Safari.
