Aquarium screensaver. Well it works but it looks funky.

iChat will crash on my Dual G5 if the iSight is attached.

No one mentioned Toast 5 yet.
Oh well, who cares, Toast 6 seems ok.

Not true Toast 5 worked for me, I burned a Music CD in Panther a while back just to check.

- I think I have mentioned this before, but Ghost Recon Crashes on exit or hangs when you disconnect from a multiplayer games.

Have not verified this beyond b80

Toast 5 doesnt work for me either. Just quits immediately. Codetek virtual desktop works about 95% ok but there are a few oddities.

I think Toast 5 works in some later Panther builds. There was some guy going off on one about it recently, saying that it was Roxio's duty to make it work with each development build, or something similarly absurd.

This is fixed in b74 and later builds of Panther. Cosmetic issues existed in many builds before that.

Palm HotSync has been working.

I wouldn't touch Entourage for all the hubris in Redmond.

What doesn't work for me is the Apple Remote Desktop for 10.2 installer: the actual app isn't installed. Grrrr.

How do the Microsoft products work (i.e. Entourage, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)?

I'm thinking about upgrading ASAP but my dad will be furious when he sees these products not working.

None of the Haxies work because APE does not work on any Panther build yet.

You need the newer pascal libraries that are on disc 5. I'd help you out but I'm watching American Ninja 2 on HBO and won't be coherent for a few weeks.

iChat just won't launch for me. I don't know why. Also, several apps don't save preferences properly. Battle.net is one of them. Previous game names and types are not saved from game to game like they are supposed to be.

Starcraft is unplayably slow on my iBook unless I turn off color-cycling (an option I never knew existed until I was forced to find it). It's even worse in 10.2.8. There's something definitely different about the graphics. Fading from screen to screen is choppy where it was never like this before. 10.2.6 and prior play fine. Starcraft plays fine in 10.2.8 on an eMac so I assume it would be fine in 10.3 as well but haven't tried.

Not an app, but the drivers for my Brother HL-1440 laser printer have some quirks under 10.3. Hopefully Brother will release updated drivers... they did for both 10.1 and 10.2.

The printer works but sometimes prints garbage on the back of the paper.

Often, checking the Console while you try to launch the app provides clues about this...

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Candybar doesn't work for me in 7B85.

Actually, when I first installed this build, my system wouldn't accept input of the letter a. I later (after a long troubleshooting process that resulted in removing all preferences) figured that Synergy was the culprit. So, just thought I'd let people know.

ASM doesn't work for me. It keeps crashing the dock. Which is a rather interesting effect, as the dock automatically tries to start again, crashes again, etc.

I'd expect that most utilities which patch the system will need to be updated. Clearly this is the case with APE -- and they have betas that work under Panther. However it applies equally to programs like Default Folder, ASM, and so forth.

What should be surprising isn't that they don't work, but that some of them do work.

I have been using swap cop to move the swap partition for a while. It doesn't work in 10.3 though. Anyone know how to move it in Panther?

Whatever happened to EPSON "original" printerdrivers. There seems to be only CUPS printerdrivers in 10.3?

So far Norton Systemworks 3 doesn't work for me (utilities also won't see my hard drive).

Also can't get Panther to print to my Laserjet 1200N.
