I bought a new, larger hard drive for my MacBook Pro. What's the best/easiest way to transfer the data? Do I need to buy an external enclosure? Is there a better way?
Thanks,
-Scott

If you opt for an external enclosure check out Newegg.com. They have many options. You can transfer (clone) everything from your smaller to your larger HD with SuperDuper. Both are currently working for me.

Are you running Leopard? You could backup using Time Machine, put in your new HD, then restore to that new HD from the Time Machine backup.

Buying an external enclosure is probably a good idea anyway so you can use your old hard drive for something.
