With 4x the pixels in the upcoming idevice, do you foresee a bunch of games getting above the 20gb mark to become the fat binary that a new iPad will require?
Or will developers do the sane thing and require 2 separately bought apps (or 3), rather than exposing users to data overages and, worst of all, game unavailabilty?

Aren't app downloads OTA limited to 20MB anyway? I don't see the overage potential.

Oh, how a quick typo can dramatically change the information conveyed.
It was raised to 50 MB. Here's hoping Apple comes up with a "smart" download system that allows you to buy an app once and have the version of the app appropriate for your device download so you're not wasting bandwidth towards your cap and then have the fat binary downloaded to your iTunes account for syncing later (either when you connect to iTunes or have a WiFi connection.

Doubt that'll come for a while, although it does sound really nice…
Most games under 50mb aren't the big blockbuster games (if we are to have any on iOS) anyway, most games I seem to buy that are the 'big ones' rather than the old '59p' ones are over 100mb. I just download from iTunes, I don't really shop on the AppStore app often.

Yes, 50 MB, not GB. Epic typo.
