*** Failed to load pixmap 128!
*** Failed to load pixmap 128!
## Component Manager: attempting to find symbols in a component alias of type (regR/carP/x!bt)

and then the

does anyone know what is wrong?

CMPlugin sounds like contextual menu item plugin. Did you install any in (~)/Library/Contextual Menu Items/ ?
## Component Manager: attempting to find symbols in a component alias of type (regR/carP/x!bt)
You can search the archive for this.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Thanks for the tip.
I found out that I needed to remove a file in the QuickTime Plugin folder.
Nothing on (~)/Library/Contextual Menu Items/
Now the only message I get is a repeating
*** Failed to load pixmap 128!
every 30 seconds or so, and it won't go away!!

I've had that too, didnt cause any system instability, and i dont look at the consol every 30 seconds (why do you?) The console is just where UNIX systems dump system messages and possibly errors that could be used for debugging.

You sound desparate to stop it even though it's most likely not doing anything harmful, unless an error message box pops up thats external from the console, i'd ignore it.

UNIX noobs seem to get all antsy when any message arrives in the console, good or bad...
