Im curious to see what others desks/computer areas look like so post what you have..

heres my set up

Starting with the Mac SE.. My parents first computer and my first computer.. Bought new in 1987 For $5,000 dollars 2MB RAM/20MB Hard Drive Running System 6.0.5

Then the middle is my second brand new machine
A Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66ghz 1GB RAM/60GB Hard Drive/Combo Drive
For the LCD its a 15 dollar 19" KDS I picked up at a yard sale because the case was cracked.. Works Fine for me.. Below the LCD are a Set of Apple Pro Speakers Powered by the Griffin iFire which works wonderful.. On the other side of the mini is My PowerBook 3400c that I picked up rather cheaply.. Just added a Lucent WaveLan Wireless card to it.. Great Little Laptop For web browsing and instant messages

This is the set up on the other side of the room.. A G4 Cube 450mhz and an Apple IIe Platinum

I am not home right now, so You'll have to settle with my workspace picture from last year. It is mucho messier now.

I would appreciate it if some messy people posted. I know you're out there. I can't believe most mac users are so exquisitely neat. Besides Starman these desks look like no one does any actual work.

The irony of your statement is that I actually built both the desk and hutch (on the ground) from raw wood.

This is the only picture I had on my computer of my work space. I don't keep a lot of stuff on my desk. Gets complicated, and bills fall in between the papers. Wish I had Mac Pros and iMacs gathered in a semi-circle around my desk, but my PowerBook gets the job done for me.

Of course.

I'll bite. It's slightly messy, and you don't get to see the junk piled on top.

No, no, no. I meant, the irony of your statement about it looking like work is not done because it is so clean. Not only do I work while at the desk, I worked to make the desk and hutch.

This is my desk at work (Mac Admin at a newspaper/publishing house).
(sorry for the bad image quality, but I did not bring my camera to work... so only a cellphone pic)

Bye, Frido.

I probably can't legally post a pic of my desk at work, (and there are no macs on it at all, anyway), so a verbal description will have to suffice:

Two old-skool CRT monitors, a 3-year-old XP machine under the desk, papers, books, and schematics scattered about, two FPGA development boards with my current project on them, and at any given time, a piece of test equipment or two (currently an oscilloscope). And a mouse pad with a map of the NYC subway system, circa 1998 or 99.

Actually, I lied, I do have a Mac on the desk, sort of: I have an old Cube case that serves as my kleenex dispenser.

My boss asked me if I wanted LCD screens, and I told him that any space I gain by switching will just be filled up with papers and schematics in short order, so not to bother!

If I remember, I'll post a pic of my desk at home, which will make all of you looking for a messy desk happy.
