i keep getting bing interfering with my google searches

i use safari
i have it set up for google searches.
but when i search for some things bing interferes
my preference says google
so how (and why) does bing (uninivited and unwanted) interfere?

There are multiple possible reasons for that. One is that you have a browser hijacker installed:

Remove Search.InstallMac.com from Safari MAC OS X

Another is that your ISP is redirecting queries. In that case, you should ideally switch ISPs, but there are workarounds (mainly changing your DNS to one that is openly available, such as Google's at 8.8.4.4).
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
