Bragi's wireless "smart" headphone set, The Dash, has wildly surpassed its
Kickstarter goal of $250,000, with 43 days still remaining in its fundraising campaign. The Dash wireless smart headphones are in-ear, and offer audio playback with the ability to store up to 1,000 songs in its embedded 4GB song player.
Using a Bluetooth connection, the headphones are capable of audio playback, including receiving calls. The Dash also has the ability to track fitness activity, and can track movements like pace, steps, cadence and distance.
Heart rate, oxygen saturation and energy spent are measured, and its on-device touch-sensitive surface allows for accessible control of audio and activity tracking information. The product is expected for October of this year, with the lowest "pre-order" pledge currently available being $200.
Customizable wearable tech 'Charm Bracelet' offers fitness tracking and gaming possibilities
Mighty Cast has recently announced its upcoming modifiable wearable-technology device, the
Nex Band. Worn as a wristband, the Nex allows its users to select customizable "Mod" charms that -- while physical in nature -- also provide mobile digital functions that accommodate later expansion. Mods can be inserted in one of its five notches, either as simply decorative pieces or functional action-based components.
Its built-in sensors and multicolor LED lights can perform fitness tracking features, or send simple color-coded light messages to another Nex Ban user. New mods will be priced at $10 per 'charm', with
pre-order pricing for the Nex Band is $50, half of its future retail value.
