I'm thinking Monique killed it.
I would like to know why it was locked. It could have been some fun.

I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

I thought the initial idea was kind of interesting, but all the responses indicated that was no worky.

It'd be nice if you posted a reason or some sort, even if you just said it was stupid

It reminded me of some very funny threads back in 2002-2003.
Why kill something so instantaneously? Watch it grow and develop!

Yes it was. The second question you asked was right up there.

Just [tooki] a mod throwing their weight around again. Just because you are a mod doesn't mean you should be able to decide if a thread is entertaining or not. Members should decide that, and from seeing that there were some responses to the thread, I think its evident that at least some members wanted to continue having a bit of fun in that thread.
Lighten up already!! I seriously do not see how it is your place to decide if a thread is entertaining or not - mod or not, you're no better than the rest of us here.
And to close the thread without even posting a reason for it is just damn right rude IMO.

If I think a thread won't benefit the forums overall, or will attract the type of discussion we want to discourage, then I can close it.
As clearly stated in the rules, a mod or admin can choose to close a thread for any reason and is not even obliged to explain.

Fine, but do you not think it courteous to give an explanation of a closure - it doesn't matter if you are not obliged to, thats no reason for being pretentious and rude.

Umm, no. It's an extra courtesy if we choose to give an explanation.
We wrote our rules: that's why we put the disclaimer there. We don't always have the time or inclination to explain. It's more important that a thread get closed in a timely manner than waiting until we have time to write an explanation.
