OK, since all of you are running right out and buying one of the new MacPros, I thought I'd try and help us both out. I'm looking for a reasonably priced dual 1.8 G5 to replace my 1.25 MDD.

These (used, refurbed) are already dropping in price at places like ExperComm, while Apple so far has pulled all G5 refurbs from their store (at least for now).

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks

Expercom had a stock Dual 1.8 for $1099. I missed ut on that yesterday, but they thought they'd have some more in soon- used, dealer referbished machines. I guess I'm looking for something <$1200.00 depending on condition, configuratation, inclusions, etc.

Thanks

celliott47,

I may have a brand new, sealed, dual-core 2.0 powermac g5 with the following specs that I would be interested in selling. It was ordered last week at the end of our company's fiscal year and if I can not exchange it, my loss would be your gain.

Dual-core 2.0 (last powermac version)
1GB RAM
250GB Harddrive
256MB Video Card
Airport Extreme/Bluetooth Built-in
...and everything else that comes in the box

This was a build-to-order model direct from Apple. Eligible for a full 3 years of applecare. Price is easy to figure out, since it is still new and sealed in the box. Obviously I wouldn't be askin g that. Let me know what you'd offer if your interested.

Thanks for the offer 007, but that's a bit more than I'm going to be able to take on- unless you want to get fleeced
