Yes, and apparently everyone else's good judgment is keeping them out of this thread so far.

Let's face it, I could make a great thread and no one would frequent it. It's my lot in (MacNN) life.

It's funny, because I went what might have been a year or two (or even more) without eating the Kraft version, and last week culminated with me enjoying it 3 out of 5 or 6 nights.

I expect an artistic shot, regardless.
It should also be submitted to the picture thread.

I have it probably once a week. The only deal is that my wife likes the shells. The freakin' shells...

I grew up out it.
I prefer regular macaroni, tomatoes, cheese, mushrooms, sausages (not wieners) like brathwrust, polish, etc., brocoli; cook in oven for 30 minutes it is delicious.

I've been accustomed to seeing shells accompanied with the white cheddar version, which I only enjoy periodically. No more than once every few months.

A good kielbasa...
But the day I grow out of M&C is the day they lay ( or stand) me to rest.

The credit does not go to me. Those were all donated.
We use 2-3 boxes a night when we have it (two nights a week).
And I always add parmesan cheese.

The kids eat it with ketchup and ranch dressing. Now that should be in your poll.

Honestly, I'm going to feel like a failure if Lone Star doesn't come in here and give us a dissertation on his preference.
Of course, I don't recall seeing him lately, so I'm not optimistic.

That wouldn't be Mac & Cheese, though. All those that despoil the sanctity of the Macaroni & Cheese fusion deserve to burn in the water boiling fires of Kraft Hell.

My wife has paid +$12 for a Macaroni and Cheese entrée at a very nice restaurant before. I had the filet.

Where has he been. I expect a <140 character post on this from him upon his return.
I'll try my best to fill his 10-gal. lid:
Well, the question/poll leaves room for interpretation. I mean, do you want brand specific preferences or simply our method of preparation preferences. When I was on base, the chefs would add paprika, and no matter how horrible the government macaroni and cheese was, adding spices not normally added would not enhance the flavor and it was still inedible. My wife prefers the shells as Jawbone54 mentioned, and while I think they are OK, my personal preference is with actual individual ingredients brought together to create the traditional Mac-n-cheese dish. I buy Mueller macaroni pasta in the 5 lb. bag, I also use Velveeta cheese and a mixture of mild cheddar and Kraft American cheese slices. But I have found, as I age, that the health impact of often eating such an unhealthy meal far outweighs the preference I have for the dish. Therefore, I rarely indulge myself and usually stick with spaghetti pasta and a marinara sauce with a small pice of beef or hamburger in the sauce.
No salt.

A gun to shoot him with for his treacherous defilement of a potentially incredible pot of macaroni and cheese.

I think the accepted industry standard is Kraft. I'm sorry for not making this more obvious.
Which reminds me, I used to love it when I worked in a restaurant and they had the pre-made baggies all you to do was nuke.

Although I use to live off the stuff as an adolescent, I recently tried Kraft Mac & Cheese for the first time in many years and was amazed to discover how completely revolting it is. I think the box would probably taste better. I guess I've become a Mac & Cheese snob. These days I make my own cheese sauce from scratch using Vermont White Cheddar. Much more betterer.

Look, you mess with my country, my family, or my money...that's one thing.
You ruin a perfectly good pot of mac & cheese by withholding the cheese, then God have mercy on your soul.

I like my Macaroni like I like my women. Thick and creamy. And in a Blue box.
Seriously though... Kraft Thick and Creamy with a little salt and a lot of fresh pepper.
That's the best. The regular style Kraft tastes like crap after you've grown accustomed to the thick and creamy variety.
Although my wife is now forcing me to eat Annie's organic deluxe Mac n' Cheese, which is also pretty good, but costs three times as much.
This poll should have bee called the MacNNCheese Poll.
