The Federal US Circuit Court of Appeals has turned down an Apple attempt to fast-track a ban on several Samsung phones, Reuters reports. A judge ruled against the pretrial ban last December, but Apple chose to appeal that ruling alongside one from October. Because of today's events, the appeal of the December decision will have to be considered by a three-judge panel before going to the full appeals court.

An appeal of the October ruling was rejected last week. Had it been successful, Samsung's Galaxy Nexus would've been made illegal to sell in the US until at least March 2014, the date of an upcoming Apple v. Samsung trial. Although the phone is no longer Google's flagship, it continues to be sold by US carriers.

Considering the economic impact I support Apple's request for fast-track consideration.

Too bad the courts don't support the request.

"Economic impact"? How exactly has Apple been "Economically Impacted" by Samsung? Was it because the phones "looked alike"? Well all flat screen tv's "look alike".

Was Apple "economically impacted" because people did not want to buy Apple products? Well that's another story all together.
