So sad, at least she died knowing that her grandson is very likely to be the next President.

<slight tangent>How long before the righties call this an attempt to gain sympathy for Obama?

It would have been sad for her to see him lose tomorrow.

Wow.. that's just tragic timing.

I see goMac beat everyone to the inevitable politicizing of it. Nice job.

So sad. It's like losing his mother, as much as she raised him. Just ahead of the general election tomorrow to boot.

My sympathy for his family. It's sad to lose anybody especially a Grandparent.

Godspeed Toot! Godspeed!
The Religious Right is neither.

It's unfortunate that you have to use even this for a petty political dig.

You should place as much $ as you can on McCain right now.

Head over to http://www.intrade.com click signup button (second on top) and buy say $9,900 in shares of McCain.

That will set you and your family up a nice hefty $100,000 when McCain wins.

Honestly with your confidence and attitude it would be economically irresponsible for you NOT TO.

He's one of those compassionate conservatives.

Sad news about Obama's grandmother.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

Or $99,500 after $500 in commissions. Still, it sounds like a sure thing…

Edit: I think they closed buying and selling these contracts as I posted.

We all must go to our forever nap. He believes she went home. That is comforting for him. Sorry for your loss Barry.

PS: Hope she voted.

I was thinking about that. If you vote early, and then die... what happens to your vote? It would have to still go through? Right? Or can they pull it out?

That photo looks like it's in Central Park, or rather, along the wall outside of it. Must date from his Columbia days.

Are early votes valid if you die before election day proper? I presume so...
Likewise, in non-early voting states; if you fill out and send in an absentee ballot, but die before election day, when the ballot is counted?
What if you fill it out, then die, but haven't put it in the mail? Is it legal for a housemate to send it in?
