The story is on MacNN now.
I can see an XBox store doing really well, but a general Microsoft store? Do they think people are going to line up to play with the latest version of Excel and SQL Server?

In all seriousness, I'd guess that they'd want to focus on peddling their portable media center and music store/software more so than their business software. We'll see how it goes, I'll suspend my disbelief and doubts.

Of course they'll demo their crap on Dells... it's going to be a joint venture. You'll be able to buy two types of crap at one store! What a deal.

You're probably not too far from the truth.

There are Dell kiosks by me, and I find it funny how easy they are to crash...

In Switzerland, they opened a Microsoft Shop in Zurich sometime around 1993-94, in time to be an established place for the Win95 launch. I think it was actually run by another company, just with the MS name on it, but carrying every single MS product obviously.

Maybe they will show how Windows can run on your X86 Mactel?
