Anyone else out there still waiting for a Combo iBook model??

My config Combo/20gb/Airport, ordered on May 1

I would be particularly interested if/when anyone received a Combo WITH Airport.

Thanks!

I am still waiting for my Combo - placed order May 1. And yes, I asked for the airport card and 20 GB drive.
the apple rep told me it will STILL be another one and a half weeks for my model to ship
I bet you are right, and its the Airport card that is screwing up these orders, other people are receiving their combos who ordered way after May 1.

When did you talk to the Apple rep? today?

I am awfully tempted to change my order to no Airport card (and get it later).

I ordered my Combo/10GB/Airport/128MB iBook on 5/2 and I received last Wednesday. I suspect your delay may be caused by needing to install both the Airport card and bigger hard drive.

I spoke with the rep yesterday evening.
I wouldget the airport card removed and install it myself, except that I just know it would screw up my place in the queue or something.
Like that would matter after waiting 6 weeks . . .

I ordered neither the 20 gig or the airport card on the 1st and I'm still being assembled. Who knows.

In other words, you ordered a stock combo? (Combo/10gb/no airport)

Wow... I'm surprised you haven't heard anything! What did Apple tell you?

It would be interesting to hear or read what method is used after an order is placed - maybe turtle mail and some hand carried and then their are those that get e-mailed. Go figure! Maybe some person is throwing darts in the factory to see which unit will be built or released next. I feel bad for those of you still waiting. My order 5-10 received 5-31 combo/10/airport/256 22 days. Remember the sun will shine again once the iBook is in your hands. And dam that ought to be soon. Come on APPLE!

Ordered my combo/20gig/256ram/airport card on May 1st. It was shipped on the 26th, spent a week in Alaska going through customs and I received it Monday June 4th. They are shipping 20gig combos with airport cards installed.

My latest theory is that Apple had to source Airport cards from California (or they were trying to avoid the Alaska customs fiasco)

This week! Monday or Tuesday! It is now Wednesday, still nothing.

I got a call from a salesman at the Apple Store yesterday asking me about a saved order I have for a Cube... oh, I was tempted to be bad...

Interesting pattern that seemed to be appearing at one stage, just wonder if it had any reality... People assume that the BTO options were the main thing slowing orders down, and I'm sure they were important, but those who had been waiting for a real long time often seemed to be paying via the Apple Loan scheme... Does this ring true for those posting in this forum?

Could be... I attribute it to the Airport card primarily since several people received a indentical configuration to mine (except AP) several days if not a week ago. (I bought with FedEx; so that goes against your theory)

BTW: I am now leaving to go unbox it right now!!!
