Hi all,

I have a folder shared via SMB on my Mac Pro (using Leopard). I'm trying to mount the folder from my music synthesizer keyboard (a Yamaha Motif XS), which uses SMB networking.

I can see the shared folder from my Motif XS. However, when I try to mount it, the Motif XS gives me an error: "Disk or memory read/write error."

So I'm guessing this has to do with permissions, right? I tried creating the shared folder in different places on my Mac (non-secure places, like the Shared folder); no luck. I checked permissions via Get Info, and it shows "everyone" as "Read/Write". I'm none too expert with Mac permissioning....can anyone give me a shove in the right direction on this?

Thanks!
Dave

Might there be a place in the Motif where you can enter credentials to access the folder?
