Added a bookmark from ebookers.com to my favorites when this caused to crash Safari.
After a second try I succedd to force that page into the bookmarks, but now everytime I want to edit the bookmarks Safari crashes.

Tried to resolve by removing the Safari folder from the Library, copy an old back-up and reparing the permission, without success.

It still has a problem.

How can I fix this?

thanks for suggestions
Christian

The safari plist file maybe corrupted. Before doing the following, make sure you have a copy of the safari folder, which is located at Home>Library.

First, quit out of Safari.

Go into Home>Library>Preferences and move the com.apple.safari.plist file to the desktop.

Launch Safari.

Once you've done this, see if you're able to edit your bookmarks in Safari. If this works, quit out of Safari and replace the bookmarks.plist file in the safari folder with the older plist file.

Hope this works.

If it crashes under another user, it's not the bookmark causing the problem.

If it's happening in 2 user accounts, then some vital system files could be corrupted. An archive and install will take care of it.

Is it possible to install only Safari from the 10.3 Installation DVD?
