Hye,

I've decided to update my pop account into imap mode because the major part of my pop servers are also available in imap.
Thus, I've configured mail for my orange mailbox. Everything works thine unless I've tried to delete (backspace) an email or junk or trash. I always had UIDcopy impossible no such mailbox or something close to that.

As I did not find a solution I've decided to go back my with pop account but now my mail box is telling me that an administrator or an other email app is already connected to the server... I've deleted the imap account in the mail pref and also restart the computer and changed wireless network ? How can I work it out ? or kill the remaining connection on the server ?
thanx
alan

You could just create a mailbox in Mail.app under the IMAP account, name it "Deleted Messages", select it, then go to the Mailbox menu > Use mailbox for > Trash.

How did it come to this? Goodbye PowerPC. | sensory output

You know, I've had this problem repeatedly after my upgrade on no less than three different computers. Being said, in every case it was an attachment that got hung up right after it started dloading. This problem caused mail to think that mail was currently "in progress" or whatever and so I had to have the connection killed. Any others having similar problems?

well as you said I think that i've cancelled the download from the server when the imap account was acquiring the content of my mails from the server...
but frankly it seems that my problem is not completely over... the problem has came back ...
I've never encountered that issue before today...

I don't think this problem only applies to IMAP...

Apple - Support - Discussions - Leopard Mail attachment downloads lost ...
