post count not updating

has happened several times, i'm currently at 175 or so and it should be, around 425--ok not that high, but really: quite a number of posts have gone unadded to tally. this is a huge problem, comparable to the eruption of mount vesuvius itself.

ok nevermind it IS updating, vBulletin updates every single post to reflect the new count, rather than displaying the post number at the particular time of a post. neat!
