It drives me wild. While checking out Youtube on my iPod touch – I never really consulted it before – I stumbled across this video. I recognzized the opening music and was pretty sure it was from the movie "Sunshine". So I checked the iTMS to verify that, but it obviously isn't. I'd have bet my arm - so sure was I.
Can anyone end my pain? Please?

It's from Requiem for a Dream. I think it was also used in Sunshine, as well as a few other things. (I seem to recall it was used jokingly in some commercial recently.) It's called "Lux Aeterna" on the Requiem soundtrack.

It's pretty much used in every movie trailer ever nowadays. It's become a worse cliché than Karl Orff's "O Fortuna".

I'm singing that in my university concert choir/orchestra next semester.

Just "O Fortuna" or the whole Carmina Burana?
I sang Carmina Burana with choir one year in college. Fun stuff.

There was a phase where every other trailer seemed to use the music from Aliens as well.
I hate when trailers recycle music from other movies.

Tenor or bass?
I sang tenor.
My favorite part of the piece is Number 14: In taberna.
In taberna quando sumus non curamus quid sit humus... (When we are in the tavern, we don't think of our graves).
