Hi.

This is the love thread.

Do you love something?
Then this is the thread for you.

Personally, I love that I can kill hour after hour on MacNN while at "work."

Have fun!

My 21-month-old son and his late sister
My wife
Family & Friends

My job (on good days)
Walking out of work and into the weekend

Apple products
Browsing in Apple brick & mortars
Convergent mobile phones
Reading about the tech world

A book you can't put down
A movie or TV show that makes me think long after the credits have rolled
TiVo

My soon-to-be new motorcycle
Jet-powered passenger airplanes
Reading about the airline business
Luxury sedans
Reading about the auto industry

Pretty girls
Perfect eyebrows
pr0n
The Little Black Dress
Well-worn blue jeans

A freshly cut lawn
A clean house
The smell of fabric softener
The smell of gasoline
The smell of freshly cut grass
The smell of a baby's bottle-breath

The White Stripes
Alanis Morissette
An album where almost every song kicks ass
A well-crafted essay

The perfect shower
Falling asleep under a ceiling fan following the perfect shower
Vacation
My new house
A good cup of coffee
Mail that's not junk mail or bills

<sigh> I think that's about it for now.

All Emma's are evil!

Anywho, things I love (aside from the obvious significant other/family/mac/etc):

Music that sends shivers down your spine.
Good food.
Watching other people eat good food.
Reading a book and smoking a spliff in the sun.
British humour.
Coming home from work early, cracking open a beer and watching the WWDC keynote.
Good beer.
Plants next to computers.
The open source philosophy.
Well written science (Hawking, Dawkins).
Attention to detail.
T.
A.
Sleeping in.
Thunderstorms (real floor-shaking, window-rattling, dog-terrifying ones).
Dogs.
Films that make you forget to breathe for a time.
Peeling labels off things (beer bottles etc, but the best is the film that covers new electronic equipment).
Intelligent debate.
Come-uppances.
Empty roads.
Alone time.
The cold side of the pillow.
Learning.
Complaining.
Edit: My iMac and iPod nano which I found out are being delivered tomorrow.

Ooh, I feel all warm and fuzzy.

That last two are just slang words. Have the same meaning for those that use them I suppose.

'luv' just seems to be a shortened version.

I've often seen 'lurve' used to mean 'infatuation', as in "I lurve Paul McCartney" or something.

Sure they all can be used to convey the same general meanings. For example, using things wdlove would say:

"I would love to get Cody in the sack....er....um... I mean, I would love to iChat with Cody".....(thinks to himself "nice catch wdlove, no one suspects a thing!")

"I lurve Cody"

"I dream of giving Cody some sweet sweet luv"

- my whole family (including our cat)
- friends

but also:

- the vibrato arms on the Fender Mustang and Jazzmaster/Jaguar
- libraries
- macaroni and cheese made from fresh noodles, cheese and cream.
- super-takumar lenses
- colorful, thick blankets
- 68 degrees
- the color blue
- and shopping in Paris
