I almost fell over a few minutes ago: I just read that Aspyr is bringing Homeworld 2 to the Mac in August. If any of you have ever played the PC version or its predescessors, Homeworld and Homeworld: Cataclysm, you'll know that this is one of the finest RTS games out, with amazing graphics and beatuful music and awesome 3D ship and group control.

The bummer is that I'll have to get a new Mac to play it.

Where's that timeline image...

Actually, now that I think of it, you probably don't know about the Homeworld 1 port to Mac.

Hope the fix the excruciatingly over the top difficultly level for the port.

It made the game unplayable as a SP game.

Nope I didn't know about that at all. I've never really considered the Mac for gaming and don't even game that much at all on the PC but Homeworld really was the epitomy of games for me.

Homeworld: great idea, great graphics.
Combat in Space has never been more fun.

Wow, just watched the trailer for Homeworld 2. Very impressive to say the least. Thanks for the heads-up theolein.

Supposed to be available Q3, as is Rise of Nations. If that happens, I can forget working on my website for a couple of months at least.

Um, I went to the webpage, but I can't tell. What exactly is Homeworld? FPS? RPG? Strategy?

KeyLimePi: did you read the fist post in this topic? That's sometimes a good place to start, I've found.

Thanks TP. I apologize for not knowing what an RTS game is (real-time strategy?). I do know how to spell 'first,' however. I guess we all have our little shortcomings.
